Please be advised that Fremantle Ports has issued a notification regarding forecasted adverse weather conditions expected to affect the Port of Fremantle on 2-3 October 2024.

Considering this, the following precautions are being implemented to ensure the safety of vessels, port infrastructure, and terminal operations:
- Vessels at Inner Anchorages (Gage Roads / ORAN / ORA):
- Vessels without a scheduled berth during the adverse weather must proceed to sea.
- All costs associated with pilotage and towage will be charged to the vessel.
- The Fremantle Ports scheduling team will notify specific vessels accordingly.
- Vessels at Outer Anchorages:
- Vessels are advised to heave anchor and proceed to sea during the weather event.
- This applies for the entire period of impact.
- Vessels at Berth:
- All vessels berthed at Fremantle Port are required to prepare for unberthing.
- Charges for unberthing, berthing pilotage, and towage will be to the vessel’s account.
- Vessels may return to berth once weather conditions improve.
- Timing of Preparations:
- Preparations for adverse weather will begin on Tuesday, 1 October 2024.
- The current forecast expects conditions to improve by the late afternoon or evening of 3 October 2024.
- Evacuation Requirements:
- All vessels evacuating the port must stay clear of Fremantle Ports’ approaches and the surrounding coastal areas.
