We have been advised that most empty depots in Auckland currently have limited booking availability or cannot accept empty containers. UCL are no longer accepting any empty dehires, regardless of circumstances.
We are requesting alternative options from shipping lines; however, as it stands, the possibility of detention being incurred is higher than usual.
If delays cause a booking to be missed, it creates further issues with obtaining another slot, especially since some depots aren’t offering anything in the first instance.
If you cannot store container/s on your premises until a dehire slot has been confirmed, additional charges will apply for an empty hub collection and storage. Your dedicated customer service representative will provide costings should this be required.
