We have been notified by a number of our domestic transport partners in the last few weeks of an increase in the FCL, LCL and airfreight cartage rates effective 1st September.
The increases range from 7.5% to 20%, due to inflationary pressures, such as labour costs, increased asset costs and capital costs.
We also received an increase in transport rates in September 2021 but choose to absorb these increases at the time rather than apply them to our customers due to the significant cost increases our customers were experiencing throughout the supply chain.
Unfortunately, we cannot continue to absorb these increases and have no choice but to pass on the September increase to our customers.
Effective 1st September 2022 the increase in cartage rates is as follows:
- FCL transport: 15%
- LCL transport: 7%
- Airfreight transport: 7%
