Please see below information from the Port of Auckland:

Terminal operations are running well, however berth windows are significantly affected by delays to vessels offshore largely from the ongoing industrial dispute in Australia between DP World/MUA.

We are seeing an increasing number of vessels losing days on their original ETA. An example being this coming week where we are seeing no vessels across the weekend, this adds pressure to the berth in the following weeks due to increase (or bunching) of vessels; adding to the volatility in demand.

We expect this situation to be ongoing for some time and continue to monitor the potential for congestion to build as we move towards Auckland Anniversary Day weekend (27 – 29 January) and Waitangi Day holiday on the 6th February, which will create two short working weeks to manage the flow of containers through the Port and across the supply chain.

We will continue to monitor the situation and as always, we will notify you of any impacted deliveries.

Should you have any questions or require additional information, please don’t hesitate to contact your local Kerry representative.
