Please be advised that starting December 4th, 2023, Flinders Adelaide Container Terminal (FACT) will implement a new PONDUS weight amendment fee, impacting export and import container handling. This fee is in line with the structures already in place at other major Australian ports and is designed to ensure the accuracy of container weights.
Fee Applicability
The PONDUS weight amendment fee will be applicable under the following conditions:
- For both export and import containers.
- When a weight variance exceeds +/- 1 metric tonne from the documented Verified Gross Mass (VGM).
- This variance will be determined based on assessments conducted at the FACT PONDUS Stand.
