We wish to advise all customers of continuing challenges to landside logistics operations in Brisbane.
In recent weeks the combination of high volumes and unstable vessel schedules have had flow effects on both wharf terminal operations and empty container parks. Unfortunately, these impacts have created considerable congestion, which is resulting in consistent delays.
We are continuing to work closely with shipping lines, their respective stevedores, and with our transport partners. In a bid to stay ahead of the growing congestion they have extended operational hours with additional shifts and moved to 7 days per week.
During this time, it is likely that via yard, lifts and storage charges will be unavoidable and in some instances, detention may be incurred. Whilst Kerry Logistics is not in a position to absorb any additional charges, our focus remains on minimising any such cost or disruption this may have on your supply chain. We are doing everything in our control to achieve this, however, we ask for your patience and understanding during this period.
We are actively monitoring the situation and will endeavor to keep all customers updated with developments as this situation unfolds.
Should you have any specific concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your local Kerry Representative for further information.
