We have received a severe weather alert regarding a deep depression cyclone currently affecting India, which is significantly impacting operations in Mundra.
All operational activities at POL Mundra were suspended as of Friday last week. Over the weekend, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a “Red Alert” warning, indicating heightened risk.
Additionally, the situation is exacerbated by flooding in the Saurashtra region, which has caused disruptions in cargo rail movement.
As of this morning the cyclone has passed and situation is getting back to normal, although we are expecting significant delays to vessel arrivals and departures as Mundra terminal deals with the backlog.
