The vessel which services the Southeast Asia / New Zealand route (SHILING V 019/020), experienced a breakdown just off the coast of Wellington over the weekend. Currently, the vessel is undergoing repairs at the port.

Earlier this month, the vessel changed rotation and was scheduled to call AKL – WLG – NPE – TRG – LYT. However, after unloading its cargo at Wellington, the vessel experienced a breakdown while departing the port. Consequently, cargo bound for Napier, Tauranga and Lyttelton is still on board.

While the vessel was tugged back to port for repairs, it is not currently berthed at a container terminal, preventing the remaining cargo from being discharged in Wellington.

According to the latest update from the vessel operator, the repairs may take a week or more to complete. New port rotation and estimated time of arrivals will be determined once Wellington sailing prospects are fixed.

We will keep you informed as soon as further updates become available.
