Typhoon Muifa is expected to make landfall in the eastern province of Zhejiang today. China’s typhoon alert has been upgraded to orange, the second-highest level on the four-tier warning system, and will bring torrential rains as it sweeps through eastern and southern coastal areas.

Both Ningbo and Shanghai ports will be affected, with a complete halt on all operations expected from Tuesday night / Wednesday morning. Our Ningbo office anticipates closures and/or disruptions for the next 2 days.

Delays in vessel calls to Ningbo and Shanghai can be expected during this time. We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide further updates accordingly.

Should you have any concerns, please reach out to your local Kerry Representative.
